OFFERS : CONCRETE OVER PRODUCTION
At Bredero Shaw we coat pipelines for the oil and gas industry. One of the coatings we provide is a concrete weight coating. Production currently out weighs our requirements, the excess material from the plant is stored in our yard for re-use. At present we have approx 100 000T
The concrete is of course cement, sand and aggregate however, we also add iron ore (used in our mix to provide extra weight to the coating).
We have a technical report carried out (by ERM) and with the exception of two or three isolated spots (which contain slightly elevated levels of copper and can be easily dug out) the material is free of contamination. However it cannot currently be classified as inert as there is some wood and plastic through it.
Material is ideal as fill, is dense, will compact well and is dry.
