Finish : Surface is roughly sanded, this has removed the varnish, which in turn will assist you when you come to sand the blocks, they will only require a very slight sanding . Under side has the original layer of bitchumen on it, which does not have to be removed before fitting, there is a number of self leveling adhesives on the market that can be used with bitchumen. This parquet can also be stained to any darker colour and then re-sanded at a later date.

Early 1900's reclaimed parquet flooring that is of a excellent quality once fitted, sanded and finished.
Pictures shows the parquet in the condition you will receive it in. Uncleaned tops meaning original layer of varnish is on them, although this is a very slight layer. The varnish is easily removed by sanding the blocks once they are in situ. Tar removed from the bottom giving you a clean surface to work with. Sides sanded. Once fitted they require a finish to go on them, this can be varnish, stain, wax or lacquer.
You will receive these blocks palliated. If you would like to collect them we can stack them in small bundles for you so they are easy to handle and fit in your vehicle.
We can deliver in person on larger quantity or send with a pallet company.
This flooring is priced at £17.99 per square yard as a lot of work have gone in to removing the bitchumen from the blocks. Pitch pine is becoming difficult to get hold of in the uk and especially parquet that has had the bitchumen removed is even rarer!!
That is such a little price for a floor that is going to last a lifetime, unlike carpers and cheap laminate that needs to be replaced every year - This will not!

Cleaning information: This flooring can be treated like any other wooden floor, you can mop it, hover it, brush it etc It can be used in almost every room in the house providing its kept fairly dry and not saturated every day it can also be used in bathrooms, utility rooms and also kitchens.
This flooring is priced at £14.00 per square yard as a lot of work has gone in to removing the nails from this and banding it up.

Once fitted this flooring simply requires a light sanding then it can be waxed, varnished or lacquered. It can also be stained to any darker shade and easily sanded back to its natural state at a later date.
There is no prepping required as this floor has very clean T&G and the underside is as clean as the day it was put down and this flooring is ready to be put straight down again.
Upon buying the flooring, you are welcome to collect; we can deliver in person on larger quantity or send with a pallet company.
